As I mentioned in another post I just got back from a long, long road trip and this code showed up. Some of you have mentioned that it was possibly the cat. Is there anything else I should look at to determine the problem.
I've contacted Stratmosphere via email but haven't heard back from them yet. If it is indeed the cats I hope they replace them as others here have mentioned they only replaced them if the car was manufacturing date was less than 2 years old. My car was manufactured on 7/04 but I bought my car brand new towards 3/06, and there was already the new B7 models on the lot.

I have actually never heard of how long the warranty is on these suckers, but it definitely has nothing to do with when your car was manufactured.

t downpipes....no matter the brand.
Stockers have been to go after 50k too (but under warranty to 70 or 80k iirc)
moral? go with the brand with the best warranty and/or customer service! our motors roast 'em.

iirc, and if yours is only throwing a warmup code, then it's just not heating up quick enough for the system, and it throws a code.
the ecu looks for the rear O2 sensors to heat up with a certain window to prove that the cats are working properly. if the ecu doesn't see that signal within that window, it throws the code. cats could be fine, and the sensor could be okay for driving (since rears don't affect gas mileage or power, anyway), but it's just not seeing the temp correctly fast enough.

Not sure what is going on with these DP/Cats....but this issue needs to be fixed. Last month/early this month as well as on the RS4 forum if I am not mistaken.....there have been alot of complaints about Milltek cats.
I have decided not to do DP again until I am confident this is not some kinda of product problem. I hope not.....I really like their product. But putting DP on and off is NOT cheap.
My Milltek DP are staying off my car until I stop seeing threads like thes; I also had the same problem. They need to be replaced anyway.
