Mine is (was?) a Week 7 S4, released to production 1/22/04.
However, Audi's computers still don't have it listed as "factory inspected," so it's still not built two weeks after its scheduled build week.
My salesguy said there's some kind of production delay but he's unsure what and is going to go up the chain at AoA to try and find out...

MY tip sedan (nogaro)was scheduled for week 8-9 . It was produced and I got a Vin assigned 2/16 .
This week I got the ship it was on and know it is on the way to San Diego. Hope to get it in Seattle by End of March. So, some are coming through the pipeline. Hope you get better news

The 'release to production' date certainly isn't the concrete build date, as my order has the following dates on it:
2/8/2004 - Release to Production
3/28/04 - Factory Yard In
4/8/04 - Shipment Process from Factory
5/15/04 - Port Process
5/17/04 - Dealer Delivered
I'd get a printout of your order, and look at those other dates. The 'Factory Yard In' date tells you when it'll be done being produced... before then it's in production, or just sitting in the queue.

I have a smile every time I see the car. Everything matches so perfect. The silver seat belts against the black carpet with the silver seats and the black seat belt buckles. HEHEHEHE. unbelievable combo. Even the mirrors are two toned (silver/black). HEHEHE. I have basically taken that color tone throughout the interior and its so damn amazing.

The 4.2L V8 is shared with the: A8,A6,Phaeton,Allroad and Touareg. The plant that makes them cannot keep up with production. They do not want any more engine failures like the first batch of S4's.
