Default Dented hood..

So the other night my girlfriend and her best friend decide to sit on my hood after I tell them not to... the result? Surprisingly I didn't realize it sooner.. there's a small dent on one of the creases in the hood..

Is this fixable or do I have to either buy a new hood or re-paint?

You'd think it would take a couple fat b!tches.. but nooo..

Default Where do you live? I repair dents like that without paint. Paintless Dent Repair

I may be able to hook you up with someone in your area that could do the job also.

Default I live in MD just outside DC.

Thanks for responding. So do you think it's fixable? I should've taken a pic of it but I think you get the idea.

Default I believe it sounds fixable by any Paintless Dent Repair shop.

Definitely go see a PDR shop first and they'll tell you whether they can fix it perfect or not. Make sure that whoever fixes it has quite a quite a few years of experience. Find out if they are gonna remove the hood liner and access the dent through access holes and not drill a hole. I'm not saying that they won't have to drill a hole but if you find someone that can take the time to access the dent without drilling then it will be better. The hole won't hurt anything especially if they touch it up with paint and primer.

BTW, I can't think of anyone I know in that area but you should be able to find someone if you go to a high end detailing shop and ask.

Good luck and post back your experience.

Thanks. I actually have a friend of a friend who is in the PDR business so he is going to take a look for me. I'm not sure how much experience he has, but I've heard he does good work. By drilling a hole.. I hope you don't mean through the top of the hood.. or do you?

Will keep you posted.

Default No, the hole will be in the underside of the hood (if necessary) But that is last resort.

Even if he is your friend make sure he knows what he's doing.
