then the rs4 guys are gonna want mods too.
to keep up horsepower wise. i love the rs4 and the whole idea of it. but with tax and tags will make the car nearing the $80k mark,it should have 500hp.imho

It's not just a question of power...
The RS4 has the upgraded brakes, suspension and improved chassis rigidity to accomodate the extra power. In addition, the pedigree of the RS car is undeniable.
When you add the warranty and the fact that a supercharged S4 will suffer on re-sale, I would buy an RS4 in your shoes..

If I can't get a new RS4 I'll just hold onto my B7 S4 and score a used one in another year. Some people go through cars like water and I remember seeing used RS6's for sale about 1 year after I started seeing them on the road.
My other thought is to start saving for the next generation RS6 which will be available in 2008 if they approve it for production. The thought of a 550bhp V10 has me drooling.
