You don't need to explain how to break in my vehicle, or any other that I own.
I know how. I'm just unwilling to do the same for a car that I don't care for it's long run performance etc.

I'm not saying you should be launching the car hard all the time, etc...
but one shouldn't necessarily drive any differently during this 1k miles than any other. But your points about the clutch and trans are definitely valid...
