Default You don't need to explain how to break in my vehicle, or any other that I own.

I know how. I'm just unwilling to do the same for a car that I don't care for it's long run performance etc.

But there are many levels of "caring" so you'd have to get more specific.

Default I'm not saying you should be launching the car hard all the time, etc...

but one shouldn't necessarily drive any differently during this 1k miles than any other. But your points about the clutch and trans are definitely valid...

Default I believe it to be a knowledgeable blanket statement

if that's possible.

In theory, what mm says is correct. I don't think there have been direct tests of this, on an industrial level.
