Does anybody elses A/C turn itself up and down by itself when not on auto......

Does anybody elses A/C turn itself up and down by itself when not on auto......
my 04's A4 used to do it, but I didn't care since I knew I was getting rid of it soon to get my S4. This is ridiculous that both my audis have done this.

Were you in defrost mode and did you activate the windshield washer by any chance? Also my Audi...
Tech told me that under certain conditions the system will go into auto mode for some reasons (don't recall what for)and this without letting you know (no auto light)and then will go back in manual.
