Does this look like new oil to you?

The point is the guy didn't feel comfortable after a service schedule and I suggested ways to make..
himself feel better. Unless something is a big issue that come into question than most responses that someone on the other end gives when they are not 100% certain are to err on the side of the person w/ whom most times you agree and converse with. Again, if I had to bet my life I would say the oil was changed, but however you look at it the level is low and there are some pieces of crap in there that don't look like bubbles (which in and of itself would be bad) so who knows. That's the point. The reason I made the spectrometer remark is because I get annoyed when a response is a little dismissive and curt, almost like saying, "you're an idiot" in not so many words.

Also, you should definitely find out what syn oil they used 'cause it's not the best thing to mix...
synthtic oil. Get whatever they used to top off later. Even though I'd change to Motul, Pentosynth or GC.

I was not curt or dismissive...
it IS fresh oil, and that's what I stated. There was nothing for me to elaborate on. I'm not sure why that pissed you off...but obviously it just snowballed from there. Anyway, this topic has gone the way of the dead horse....
