Default Downpipes + CB + CAI = Power Loss?

I'm about to install FI downpipes and catback exhaust on my Tip B6 S4 Avant (with Carbonio CAI). I have stock ECU. Would I need to worry about potentionally LOSING power in the mid-range as I've read others experiencing? What would be the best ways to ensure I actually enhance HP/Torque and not hamper it?

Default you'll be fine. this car's #1 enemyis heat. for some reason it really loves the cold air...

...when it was freezing here a few weeks ago, the car was pulling like crazy...

Default No. There is no reason you should lose low end or mid range with downpipes...

and exhaust. Before and after dynos show gains all throughout the powerband. Some folks report "feeling" power loss. Dynos show gains. Power loss is likely due to either placebo or factors not related to the mods or faulty parts such as cats that clog or melt.

I think the CAI is really a HAI - I think this has been a debate for a while.

Thanks for your input. I would expect gains, i guess the issues i've heard about are related to people using very low density cats/having too LITTLE back pressure(?). Not sure if there's a correlation.

I live at 4200 feet so i'm hoping these mods will bring me a little closer to the sea level glory i enjoy on road trips to the low land. Not to mention it is going to sound INSANE!

Default I have DP + CB but no CAI...

I also have TIP. My butt dyno says = maybe slightly less torque in low range, + for mid-range, and top end. It did not change the top end shift points. Definatly pulls harder from mid-range on. As far as CAI, maybe I'm missing something but most reviews I've read do not back up manufacturers claimed HP gains. I did swap out he stock air filter for the K&N panel. A LWB is another way to increase HP to weight ratios.

Default light weight battery

stock weight is 59#, Odyssey 680 13#. Jet Jockey bracket weighs a few #. Overall savings = over 40#.
