Default DPs + Non-Res wasn't doing it for me

A bit too raspy and raw for me...and setting off car alarms as I pulled into my garage at work was getting old. Now I'm DPs + Res and I'm quite happy with the sound. Definitely more refined and has a nice grumble when adding power. It roars a bit if you gun it but not nearly the blast I got from Non-res...but that's fine. A big THANK YOU to Boullieman for helping me get the resonated pipes and recommending Lou's Custom exhaust and Stratmosphere for being flexible.

wow. that is interesting to hear because i was just going to place an order for LaBree dp's and a non-res milltek catback. is it really that obnoxious? i was hoping for a z06 throaty note. is it even louder that that?

another question...how does it sound in the cabin? is it too loud?

Default Yea i went with Res cuase I was worried about the same effect....

its all the perks of non-res when you let on it, but none of the downsides when your going slow or dont want it to be overpowering.

Default Its personal taste, of course....

I'm not sure what the Z06 sounds like but the DP + non-res is pretty heavy. My biggest complaint was the raspy sound. I couldn't get used to it. Sound in the cabin was fine, you really don't have any idea how loud the exhaust is unless you are outside the car. I had a freind of mine rev the car while I was standing behind it. Very mean with DPs + Non-Res. Good news is go with what you think will work for you, if its not right Stratmosphere will work with you to switch your middle pipes. Nothing to lose but a littel time and maybe a little money.

Default I am always getting Z06 guys to comment on the exhaust when I'm at the track.

They say it sounds better than their stock exhaust.
