Own a S4 2004. Would like to attend a Driving/racing school before any mods to the car. Skip Barber, Jim Russell, Bondurant etc. Figure while learning better to thrash their cars not mine. Any opinions or suggestions. Thanks in advance

and I know a lot of people who have done them, learned a lot and had a lot of fun. But the best thing you can do is get yourself and your car to the track. I am going to do skip barber at some point which I hear is a blast.

Since it's the car you drive, it's the car that you'll get the most out of in a HPDE setting. Those open wheel car courses are awesome I hear, but I guess the kind of class you take depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

That's my opinion. The S4s are heavy, AWD cars. They're very different from the FWD Neons and Cavaliers of rental programs. Plus, you're probably going to subject your car to less strain in the class setting than when you flog the @#$% out of it on your own out there!
