Drove the S4 Tiptronic yesterday...
Drove the Audi S4 Avant Tiptronic yesterday.
It was brand new with only 800 km on the odo.
Goodwood Green exterior with green leather interior, Navi and most (all?) options.
My initial feeling is that it's slower than the manual, but everytime I floored it and looked at my speed it was much higher than I expected. So it's not slow, but probably not as fast as the manual. Also I felt more connected to the manual version, more connected to the engine - lovely V8 - than in the automatic.
And for some reason I got the feeling that the V8 sounded louder in the manual car. Maybe the V8 will open up with more driving?
The gear changes are Mercedes-Benz like, very smooth and quick.
There's also a different feeling seeing 6 digits for the gears.
Fuel economy seems to be similar to the manual but don't quote me on it since I drove perhaps 150 km only.
The paddles are the same as in the RS6 and they work the way the should.
In case you have questions let me know! I probably forgot to write many things.

Did the Tip have the 3 spoke wheel with the paddles? My dealer (which is wrong) told me the 3 spoke wheel does not have the paddles. Just looking for confirmation.
