Default recheck your math.... 4th is over by .133 and 5th is under by .08.... 4th is the greater difference

thus 5th is closer to 1:1

Default Re: You are corrcect. But don't forget you are not going from the end of the tranny on the dyno.

But the wheels so you have to figure in the final drive ratio as well. Do you know the fomula for that? If so please post because im' trying to sell a load of product on the phone while i type this.

These gears are so damn close together it's pathetic.I wish they would have made 6th a little taller

Default One thing I noticed when they used the Dynapack on my car was that they...

Matched the wheel RPM to the dyno's computer to make it a true 1 to 1 ratio. So the whole drive line was taken into consideration. They did use the 4th gear for all pulls.

Default Yes they can use a SEA formula to do the corrections but it may not take everything into account....

On the 3 1.8T I saw dynoed on the Dynapack, all of them bone stock the drivetrain loss hovered around 26% give or takea few decimal points.a. Mine was 26.1% to be exact. What the operator of the dyno said was the Haldex system was usually 1 to 2 percent more and their own WRX was around 32%!!! Long live the <b>Quattro</b>. I'm just relating from their past experience as I was told.
