Even the 996tt doesn't have a oil temp guage.
What are these companies thinking with these high performance cars, especially those that are turbocharged?
If they expect us to let the car properly warm up, why wouldn't they have the proper gauge?

I agree with Nirad, you can get a good feeling for when things are warmed up.
Also, the turbos tend to make more sound when the oil is thick (or cool) and will whistle less and be more of a chirp when warm.

like the time I took my 1.8t into the dealer telling him that my oil temps were high, and he asked
are you sure its not the coolant gauge.
