Default Even the 996tt doesn't have a oil temp guage.

What are these companies thinking with these high performance cars, especially those that are turbocharged?

If they expect us to let the car properly warm up, why wouldn't they have the proper gauge?

Default You'd be surprised about how many people DON'T know...

what an oil temp gauge is for. Even Porsche buyers.

OTOH, if you own a turbo car, after a while you get a feeling for when its warmed up

Default I agree with Nirad, you can get a good feeling for when things are warmed up.

Also, the turbos tend to make more sound when the oil is thick (or cool) and will whistle less and be more of a chirp when warm.

Yes, but until you are warm!! That's the problem. I want to know exactly when it is!

Default like the time I took my 1.8t into the dealer telling him that my oil temps were high, and he asked

are you sure its not the coolant gauge.

yes, i know the difference.
