Stock Laser Red s4

im puting car back to stock, finally got downpipes back on, i went to put on the stock exhaust, i realized the downpipes and the exhaust were the same width, the exhaust was put on by a mechanic, so i didnt know how it worked, when i took the awe exhaust i had on, it was slid over my awe downpipes, is there some sort of piece that connects them? if so, whats the exact name for it cause i need to get my car off jackstands in my garage or i need a new place to sleep lol
