Can anyone suggest a good source for an extended warranty? I'm at about 43,000 miles and I think it's probably a good idea to get something to hedge my bets.
One catch: I'd need someone who had some flexibility writing a policy, since my car's warranty was extended to 74,000 miles (since it was going to be lemoned). I'd just be looking for coverage from 74,000+
Thanks!

warranties are garbage when the mileage gets above and beyond 75k. Less coverage, more stipulations and loop holes for covered items. In other words as the mileage increases the warranty company comes up with better excuses not to cover a repair...buyer beware....Not everyone has that bad luck, but I see more and more claims getting denied on technicalities and fine print in the contracts. I see it everyday at the dealership I work for. just my 2 cents

others. they nit pick you on parts cost, labor times...you are absolutely correct, way too much wasted time...yes the ext warranties do make the dealer money but it hurts our customer service overall with the wasted time like you said....The biggest reason dealers sell aftermarket policies is because the dealer makes 10 times more profit on the aftermarket ones vs the factory extended....its a shame that customers are lied to and told how great the aftermarket warranties are when the suck and in the long run will cost the customer more money in repairs that are not covered!!!!

i called aoa about it. they do not offer an extended warranty, but they recommend a company. the same one that gives the cpo on used audis.

forth all have extended warranties. CPO is the equivalant of a factory extended warranty. Also they should still sell (used) factory extended warranties for cars that are not CPO...Cadillac does it both ways, either you buy one CPO, or you can buy a GMPP warranty through GM
