Default Extended Warranty and Powder Coated Rims?

So here is my dilemma.

I have 8,000 miles left on my 50,000 mile warranty and don't know if I should extend it or not.

I have always worked on my own vehicles and am not afraid to do anything. What I am afraid of is something big that may go wrong with expensive parts. The salesman that I have been talking to has not given me a solid view of what the warranty will actually cover. I know that it will not cover the wear and tear items, but will it cover enough to justify the $4,594 that they are asking? What could really go wrong that would add up to this much without including labor?

Another question I have is what everyone thinks about powder coating my BBS rims? I am thinking about a black with silver (or brushed aluminum if they can) on the outer lip. My car is Nagaro blue and I think it would look good. Any pics of anyone elses would be a great help.

Any information that I can get on either topic would be a great help and very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

$4,594!!! CPO thru an Audi dealer should cost you no more than $1500. $1200 if they like you.

WOW. I would pay that, but mine was from a private party. Does that mean that I am screwed?

Default If you have a choice, and it sounds like you might, CPO warranty> 3rd party warranty

Assuming your car is CPO'able thru Audi, this is always the way to go. And in your case, a whole lot cheaper option.

Default I'm powder coating my BBS CH rims next week. I contemplated on going with another.....

color but I really don't think anything looks better than the bright silver that they come in so I'm going with that.

I'm actually going with the Plasma color that BBS has.
