Extrude Hone polishing...anyone done it yet?

Just got a bit confusing with the explanation. But the subject of to polish or to finish off with 80 grit is debated among engine builders. I'm not gonna offer my .02

I was under the impression that it just smoothed out the interior surface of the IM, but really did nothing to even out flow (at least on the TT that is what it did).

That does bring up a good point. If the stock intakes already flow well, e honing may not provide any more improvement. If the stock intake is a bad flow design taking a back seat to assembly/packaging design, it may have more improvement.
The only way to truly find out is to do a basline flow of all the cylinders...then port/polish or e-hone...then do a flow reading to see if there are any improvements.
Can also do dyno test before and after.

and it had significant enhancements...best mod i ever got for the TT...other who had the E hone, didnt think it was all that great.
