For few that drove B7 RS4, please compare/contrast with S4.
Not having the ability to drive the RS$. I was looking for people who have been to euro events to compare the S4 to the RS4.
Is it two totally different cars or just the same car with a more powerful engine?

I haven't driven the RS4, but I play an RS4 driver on tv...
...in the summer, there was a chap on this board (or on RS6.com) who posted fairly extensive comparison of the two after participating in the RS4 Experience at Catalunya (spell?), Spain.
In a nutshell, his description, along with others, give the distinct impression that the RS4 is in a totally different league in every performance aspect. Braking, suspension (remember it has DRC like the RS6), steering feel, engine (obviously), and so on.
Do a search for the Topgear review of the RS4 on Google video. Such reviews have really convinced me to go for the RS4. For instance, Jeremy on Topgear made quite a big deal about how they neutralized the engine-in-front-of-the-axel balance issues.
The S4 is such an awesome car, but in an absurd way, the RS4 is going to be an even better value, bang-for-buck wise. Sure you could probably mod an S4 up to similar performance (although I doubt it), but it would take a tremendous amount of time and money and you wouldn't have a factory warranty anymore.
Some people (most around here, it seems) like the modding process. If you're like me and don't have the inclination for it, then the RS4 is even more desireable. But do a search for 'driving experience Catalunya' and you can read it from the horses mouth.
