Seems like you have to have updated firmware. I downloaded this a while back and it gave me the voice of a sexy german chick. But at the time I never figured out how to announce the song titles.
You have to rebuild the voice prompts in the Phatnoise Music Manager (Again, I think you may need the most recent version - 2.30)
Then the "SCAN" button will announce track, playlist, artist, album and genre.
Then I hacked the "phatbox.ini" file on the DMS drive (just look in the root of the first DMS drive in "My Computer") to get rid of the "playlist" and "genre". For my unit which is radio type A, this was in section [VWAudi_v7_3]. So mine now says <song title>"Artist"<artist>"Album"<album> ;. If you press the "<<" button after hearing the song title it goes straight back to the music without wasting time telling you the rest. Apparantly there is some way to get it to say "Track" before it announces the song title but I haven't figured out how to get that to work yet. If you are going to mess with the .ini file it is best to make a backup before you screw it up.
I have the standard head unit (Symphony II).

Mine says,
"The current track is- Lost in The Supermarket"
"Artist" The Clash
I changed it so it didn't say the album, genre or anything else because of preference.
There are some other things you can do if you want I can help you out. Shoot me an email.
