I'm wanting to either paint the garage floor or I've heard of some type of 2 part epoxy that coats the cement floor.
I'm looking for ideas and information on what you've done.

It is the same stuff used in dealership service centers.
It seemed easier to have done than tiles with the amount of floor space we have, but sometimes it is a pain to try and keep showroom clean. Also, after a couple of years, it loses some of its luster, but it is extremely durable.

This carpet might seem nice but I just wonder how it would be when you wanted to use your creeper and roll around on the ground. Or even when it's been raining outside and you bring your wet car inside. I wonder if it would eventually have a odor?

http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?L1=L1_3000&L2=L2_3080&SKU=9136 7</a

the key is prepping the floor (unless its very new) - if not done right, no paint will stick. I paid to have mine professionally bead blasted.
used Life Paints - one coat color as primer - a think coat of color and while it is wet you broadcast colored chips to simulate a granite look. then two coats of clear - its rated at 11,000 psi compressive strenght - concrete is about 3000 psi.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2694349</a

I had carpet tiles in my last garage - around the cars - but not under them. it did tend to stain easily and had to be vaccummed.
