Get yourself a Pela Oil extractor. It makes the oil change super easy,and tere is no removal of the splash shield necessary.

does that thing remove all the oil?

i still think the standard way is probably the best way to remove all the oil...

It removes 99% of the oil. If you are using Synthetic oil, then having a trace residual of oil with 9.5 quarts amounts to taking a **** in an Olympic sized pool. No adverse effect.
