I have some pretty bad water spots that wont come off of my hood. Haven't tried vinegar and water yet... Anyone have experience removing very hard water stains. Thought maybe I'd give flitz a try. I searched this product here and only found people talking about polishing wheels and light scratches. Any tips?

If you can feel the spots, try using clay or a good polish (clay should take care of it).
If, however, you cannot feel the spots, try vinegar. Clay won't do anything. Just dampen a rag with a good mix of vinegar and water (strong on the vinegar), place the rag over the spots and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wipe away. Usually does the trick. If it doesn't, you'll need to go through the whole detail routine, starting with a polish strong enough to get down to the etching.
