FRONT License Plate Requirement

I am in Virginia and believe a front license plate is required.
Does anyone know if I can special order some Eurpoean tags ( the extra long ones) with the same tag number and it be legal? I think it would look much better with the Eurpoean and the USA tags.
Any suggestions on where/how to put a front plate without making the car look ugly? Any special filler panels for the front?
Thanks

Most states requiring a front plate require a state issued plate. You could try getting the front filler panel and claim that you car did not come equipped with a front plate holder if you are ever ticketed.<ul><li><a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/va332004/petition.html">Google is your friend</a></li></ul>

IMHO,it is the way to go. Otherwise just attach it to the grille with jiffy ties.

Any photos of the different installs?
Does the magnetic license plate screw up the ECU or the electronics on the car?
I am sure it would cause some type of issues?
Any flush filler panels for the license plate? Should have the dealer give me a different filler panel to screw the plate into?

This question has come up before, and you must use the state issued plates. DC/MD/VA is very petty about the front-tag issue! DC will even cite you while parked if you don't have a front tag and your state requires one..
