using the A8 as an example, it weighs 200lbs less than the BMW 750i (which of course does not have AWD). The A8L is about 150lbs less than the 750iL. Now if Audi can find a way to implement ASF technology in the B-platform...

Why? It had ASF. Aluminum isn't cheap, it'd prob raise the price of the A/S4's $4000+ more than what it is now.

As said, don't expect Audis to get lighter anytime soon.
FWIW, the 7.0 liter 505 hp V-8 in the new Z06 is only about 15 lbs heavier than the 4.2. Hmmmm.

if GM put 1/10th as much attention into the interior of the Z06, they might actually have a car that feels like it's worth $70K.

from the deep wishes in my head. THere is no fvcking way their new s4 would compete with the m3 with 380 hp. i know, "it isnt a horsepower war" is what audi says, but wait till the new S6 gets its *** handed to by other cars in the segment.
