Default Gas Guzzler fee for 2005????

As noted below the new Audi website is up and running. I went and built my S4 and it did not come up with the gas guzzler like it did before. Is the $1700 Gas Guzzler fee still alive and well on the 2005 model?

Thank for the input.
Rob

Default GG tax only on cars with MT ...

there's no reason to think it will be different in the B7 given the engine/trans will be essentially unchanged (unless of course you believe Kerry will increase taxes when he gets in!)

Default not to turn this into a political debate but...

unless bush does something really stupid (which isn't past the realm of reality) he is up between 7-11 points and will probably only gain momentum from there.

Default Excuse my ignorance....

What is this gas guzzler tax on manual cars...

I'm guessing its a Government led thing, but I can't understand why it applies to manual transmissions...

Because manual transmission mileage is slightly worse and just below the cutoff.
