I am interested in buying an S-4. A dealer told me that he thought the S-4 might not be subject to the gas guzzler tax going forward because of the improved efficiency of the S-4's engine. Has anyone heard anything about this, or is this just wishful thinking?

me nor does the poor mileage, even though it does get better gas mileage than my previous vehicle and my other car. This car is just way to fun to drive. Yeah it sucks paying more for gas these days but it's the way things are. I try to view my time at the gas stations as an investment in fun.

would improve gas mileage. B8 should have an FSI V8 which should do much better, I am pretty sure it will still have a GG tax but not as much as it is today.

perceived mileage vs actual. if a honda civic had a 4 gallon tank, it would seem like it got sh1tty mileage too.

30 tears ago after my Uncle traded in a (get this) Nash Rambler for a Caddy DeVille....."cheezuz Dick, this Cadillac goes much farther on a tank of gas...didn't know they were that economical"....really.

Pretty sure the only '07 model not to get the FSI variant 4.2 is the S4. Not sure why I can only guess that it's because Audi didn't want to go through the hassle of modifying the new 4.2 FSI to fit the S4 engine bay?
