Default Gas Milage

Hi, so I purchase my s4 back in 2004. My car could run about 280km per tank. The gas milage dropped to 230km per tank after I brought in my car to the dealer and did a ignition coil change. I talked to the tech and they said "your car eats up more gas during the winter" And now, my gas milage dropped to 190km per tank after I am out of town for 2 weeks. Anyone knows what could possiblely goes wrong with my car?

Thanks

Driving a combination of city and highway, I get about 260-280 miles per tank, which is over 430 km. My mileage does go down noticeably in the winter, but it's never been as bad as yours. If you're doing mostly stop and go city driving, I think your mileage could be in the ballpark. But if you're driving on the highway and getting that mileage, I'd think that there might be something wrong.

In the winter, they use oxygenated gas, which takes up space inside your tank instead of octane molecules, hence the lower mileage. I average about 16 mpg combined. Never really did more than 20 on the highway.
