Got rear ended. There is NO damage to the bumper, not even paint. Could something underneath be hurt

After I went over this bumper with paint thinner after my accident
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/53054/im000692.jpg"></center><p>There was not even a srcatch to the paint. Grille cracked, cover did not align correctly and damage to the shock absorbers in the bumper. BUT not a scratch to the paint!
