Default That is impressive, I would think that with adjusting the software on a NA vehicle that the

programming would be limited, and that most quality chip tuners would end up with the same results +-1 HP at the wheels. APR's website says that there are no noticable gains with the 91 oct program.

Good for REVO!

Default I'm @ about 4 hours drive-time so far,

I'm sure I won't notice when it turns off, since I can't feel any differance at all. Butt dyno feels no change, somebody below mentioned something about rev limiter, if that means shift point (red line) it also has not changed. It shifts out of 1st @6300, 2nd and 3rd @6800. These are the exact shift points as before

Default Can somebody please explain to me HOW it could take 24 hours to make a difference

This mod results in an IMMEDIATE remapping of the air/fuel mixture and the ignition timing. It doesn't LEARN those new settings over time. Whatever the mapping is after the install is what it will be. If you have a 6MT, any benefit from this mod should be felt immediately. How can it possibly GET BETTER over a day? Does anyone here really know the basis for such a claim, other than 'a day later it felt different', which probably means, 'a day later I forgot what my car used to feel like so I'm assuming it feels different'.

Default But a lot of other maps in the car are learned....

and the effects of the chip take some time for the adaption process to happen. No it doesnt take 24 hours thats BS, but it does take 10-15 minutes before its fully adapted.

Default What maps would that be in a 6MT?

Ignition timing and A/F mix pretty much run the motor and there's no tranny software in a MT. The DBW shouldn't change based on this. What else is there?

Default 2nd

This is the only mod the car has seen and it's definitely made a difference. However, the biggest "butt dyno" results happened after screwing around with the SPS-3 unit and matching the timing to 93 octane and boosting the throttle response. The way I have it set, "S" is almost too out there; I can have "D" modded feel way worse than "S" stock.

Default I wrote the thread on the demo. Got a check engine light for a while and when it went

away the car ran noticeably better which was about 24 hrs after the demo was installed. When the demo went away I felt a difference as well. Got the car permenantly flashed about two days later. Best power gain so far that I have had. I should say that I felt less difference from installing the Miltek CB but the car really came alive with the REVO. Like I said "D" feels like stock "S" and "S" feels a whole lot more torquey at the low end. And it did take 24 hrs for everything to equalize. The reason was explained to me but I'm drawing a blank so I will talk to the REVO rep at 303 Performance and get reeducated. The one thing that they did say was that the flash has less of an effect on a N/A car compared to a turbo, but then I would imagine that would be true for all chips and flashes.
