Default Greenish-yellow substance on intake manifold. Any ideas?

We are at 8500 miles now and have a re-occurring issue of a greenish-yellow substance showing up on the outside of the intake manifold. We mentioned it at the 5000 mile service appointment and they couldn't find anything wrong. We see no evidence of oil being slung in the engine compartment and nothing else seems to have this stuff on it. We continue to clean it off and it continues to appear. When standing facing the engine, the substance is on the left side of the intake manifold (on the vertical surface) on the 2nd and 6th coils. I don't have any photos because we cleaned it off last night. Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea what it is and where it is coming from? It's a mystery I'd like to solve!

Nope, don't have that. How long does it take to form?

Default That was suggested on the B6 forum. I'm going to take a photo next time.

What is so strange is that the deposits appear on two very specific places on the intake manifold cover and there is no evidence anywhere else in the engine compartment. I would think a coolant leak, or a leak of anything, would leave deposits in a larger area.

Default I'm not sure, I'm going to monitor that.

We cleaned it Tuesday and drove it yesterday and so far no new deposits.
