Because many of us are driving too fast and too agressively. Many people are driving way beyond their capabilities. But few of them will admit to it.

But on the other hand I'm a locomotive engr.
I see people run RR crossings all the time.
And I nearly miss crushing them and blasting them
to pieces. It puts everything into perspective.
They risk their lives to save a couple of minutes.
Ask youself if it's worth the risk. The answer
is definately not.

The speed on the driver coming behind you is irrelevant. Unless you have jurisdiction
to ticket them, it is none of your business. Moreover, if they are driving recklessly, it's even more reason to get out of the way. I'd prefer to let an *** pass than to risk an accident by blocking them.
