Has anyone done track time with the ECS two piece replacement rotors?

Hmm..
reason I asked is there has to be some trade off with the lighter weight. I looked at the specs from their site and the air gap in the rotor is almost doubled 18.5mm instead of 10mm. SO that means that the actual surface areas are now only half as thick. 5.75 mm instead of 10mm. One has to wonder what kind of effect that has on the ability to work as a heat sink. I'd guess they would heat up a lot faster and be unable to get rid or the heat under continued use.

FYI from AP racing site
Disc Type :- Choose a heavier disc (i.e. one with a small air-gap relative to thickness and a standard vane pattern) for long races or to stabilise disc temperatures on circuits where there tend to be large cyclical variations in disc temperatures. Heavier discs have a longer life. A lighter disc (i.e. one with a larger air-gap and/or lightweight vane pattern) will cool more quickly but is therefore less stable and may have a shorter life.
The ECS rotors like I mentioned have a larger air gap. And maybe less vanes for weight savings.

http://www.apracing.com/car/brakedisc/choice.htm</a
