Has anyone had a problem with their lights just mysteriously coming on when the car is turned off?

This happened to me two nights ago and it was not the timer.
Apparently, if you unlock and lock the car 3x in rapid succession the car will turn out some feature that will turn on the city lights when it gets dark. My car had those lights on all night.
I opened the car, turned it on and then off and the lights stayed on. I then did the convenience switch thing you mentioned and I'm not sure if that worked or not. The next time I turned the car on and off they stayed off.
Really bizarre.

Yes. Not the timer...
I thoght it only did this when the turn signal was hit, but it has done it by itself too.
I usually turn the lights on and off, again, to clear the issue.
