Default How about some proper English?

For a group with obvious economic resources how did so many get through college with so little intellectual respect for English?

Heal as a driving technique? Please?

Maybe if you used your foot (the part with a heel) then you would actually learn to drive an S4 properly.

Default Heel vs. Heal

Heel - The rounded posterior portion of the human foot under and behind the ankle.

Heal - To restore to health or soundness; cure.

Go back to offtopic. Your bitterness belongs there.

Default Re: Try heal and toe in a freakin size 6 shoe :(

yes, it's hard in the S4 with small feet. In my '83 Quattro and the hubby's Coupe it is no problem at all, but it is a lil struggle in the S4. Why did Audi do that to me?

Default Ever tried racing shoes?

They have thin soles for lots of feel, and rounded corners so the edges don't get caught on the pedals. I've never tried them, but if and when I learn the proper heel-toe technique, I might be tempted to go for it..

Default Is heel & toe possible on this car?

A B5 S4 owner told me that he can't do it; after a short while on both the brake and gas, the engine cuts out.

He said it's something having to do with the "unintended accelleration" bull**** from a number of years ago...

Does the B6 have the same issue?

Default Yes it is possible in both cars.

Left foot braking where you do more than tap the brake while the throttle is down will cause the throttle to cut out almost immediately in a manual B5 S4, but it takes a much longer depression of the pedal to make this happen in the B6.

That is different from blipping the throttle for rev matching during braking and that is perfectly possible in both cars.
