Initially I was amused by the image imparted from such a grammatical miscue, but then I began to reflect on the nature of this forum.

For those of us with wide enough feet it's more like "ball of foot and side of foot".....
I like the notion that I have more surface area on that brake pedal than just my big toe - it is after all the more important part of the equation when you are performing this maneuver.....

I bought some Puma Speed Cat Mid height driving shoes as last time I drove a Caterham I had to drive in just socks asmy trainers were too wide.
The space is really tight. On my Right Hand drive S4 the foot rest is not too wide so when on track days I use the Speed Cats.
I bought mid height ones (they do low and high as well) as a compromise so I can use them in car for track days and also for when I go karting.

it seems that most people pronounce the word and use the "t" in the word. So they pronounce it "of-ten" as it's written.
However, the proper way to pronounce the word is "of-en", the "t" is slient. Everybody in my office got it wrong with the exception of the big boss of course. ;-)
