Default Here you go guys, as promised pictures of the MTM supercharger kit...

First let me say I don't know all the details about the kits. I hear there will be two, one with 450 Hp and the other with 500 Hp. I hear there will be possibly to types of exhaust available and I believe they are part of the kit or at least one of them. These are the main components to the kit and there might be some additional parts that need to be modified or changed but that is the extent of what I know at this time. I went to visit MTM and unfortunately the general manager was busy with two important distributor on that morning. So I got a guided tour with a gentleman that spoke some English. Between his English and what little German I understand we managed to get the most important details.

This picture shows a similar installation in a modifies S8, with 500 HP. The purpose of this picture was to show you how it would look once installed. You can see the belt drive and the end part of the compressor.

Here is the actual Kleemann SC unit used in the S4 kit.

Here is a front shot of the S4 getting modified.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/46874/MTMS4supercharger3.jpg">

In this picture, you can see the totally new intake manifold (MTM), <b>it is water cooled</b>. You can also see a new aluminium pulley and the SC fits in the space below the new intake manifold.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/46874/MTMS4supercharger1.jpg">

The left hand OEM water cooler radiator is retained.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/46874/MTMS4supercharger4.jpg">

However on the right side a new thicker <b>oil cooler</b> replaces the original water radiator.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/46874/MTMS4supercharger5.jpg">

Now I know what you are going to ask me. What happens to the the cooling of the engine now that one of the two extra water radiators as been removed? Here's the answer. A front mounted water radiator (black unit) ahead of the AC condenser and main water radiator.

Default I don't know man....too much modification. 1 little fender bender at 10 mph and the whole thing is

shot. Plus, this would have to be done after the 50K mile mark. (warranty).

Default You don't buy a car to have an accident, do you? In any case the only thing that is extra...

Or added that is not there on a regular S4 is the new front mounted rad. In a crash that would be the least of your worries. As far is warranty is concerned, some here would argue that the few mods you have on your car would void it. people that buy these cars and get them modified and are willing to pay dearly for that mod, most likely don't care about warranty issues, I know if I could afford a modified S4 like this, I wouldn't.
Just my $0.02.

Default well said, if you have the money to buy this, you probably aren't hurting for cash

and warranty isn't going to be a big concern.

I still can't imagine that many people will be willing to try this.

And where are those sound clips of your reputedly bad-*** exhaust?

Default No, sorry. Keep in mind a turbo or super charged motor's sound is always subdued...

When compared to its normally aspirated cousin.
