Here is the story, I am on my way home to Columbus, OH after vacation and I get caught in the middle of no where in NY State.
I have followed 2 cars and it is about 3-4 car length apart and we all drive at least the same speed in my opinion. Once the 2 cars see the cop, they immediate take the next exit out (just about 300-500 Yards), since I need to go on my trip to OH, I keep driving and I therefore get caught by the COP.

verdict for the speeding ticket? Appeals are VERY costly (im assuming traffic appeals are teh same as any other appeal...I do some appellate work but nothing for or in traffic court) in NY state, supplying the record on appeal is a 5 digit bill from the printing press now add your attorney's costs. Anyway, you need to file a notice of appeal and then perfect the appeal. imho jsut pay the fine and walk away.

that since the other two guys were also breaking the law and didn't get ticketed, you shouldn't either? do you see how that plays out...

You will lose anyway. Save your time and money and pay the ticket. Just hope they don't send the ticket info back to Ohio or to your insurance Co.( which won't be likely if you pay the ticket)
