Default Had the tranny replaced in my B5 with 1200 mi on the clock

Never really thought about it again. Much better than a rebuilt tranny.

If I was used car shopping, a replaced trans sounds better to me than one with more miles on it.

Default Affects resale $0, (same as having an engine replaced, actually)

Replacement of an engine, transmission, whatever is just the replacement of a part. (A large part or a conglomeration of parts but it's a subsystem none the less and is no big deal.)

Perhaps it's an issue if you're looking for a Ferrari, but for any normal car if anything it increases resale value, knowing there are X miles on the car but only X-Y miles on the tranny...

As long as it's a new tranny/engine and not a rebuild...
