Default How big is the Hyperflow filter....??

How long is it? I have a 12 inch filter from my L and a bunch of aluminum piping peices from my civic and was going to try and make one. Have a friend with a machine shop so he can make me a heat sheild and brackets. The hyperflow just looks so simple I can not see paying 350 for a $5 peice of metal and a $30 filter.

It's REALLY short, like 6" MAX. I cannot see fitting a 12" filter in the S4 engine bay.

I agree it can be done for less, but you will need a short filter if you want to fit a heat shield.
