Default How do we know for certain that the new RS4

weighs 3900+ pounds?

I mean I dont doubt it, but perhaps I am in denial, as i was thinking about trading in te S for one of these, but this was while I was thinking it weighed 200-300 lb LESS than the S4, not 100lb more!

Default N/A

On the Audiusa site if you go to the specs of the RS4 it lists it's weight as N/A... what's up with that?

Default Could someone in Europe weigh one?

Is there going to be a big differnce between the US and European version's curb weight?

Default EVO magazine in GB weighed one...

they independently weighed every car in their recent "fast club" test. Can't remember the exact weight of the RS4, mag is at home. I'll post it later. It was, though, 90kg heavier than the "claimed" weight. The cars were weighed with full tank of gas & all other fluids, as opposed to claimed weights which are usually done completely dry (ie no oil, other fluids or fuel).

Default Euro spec cars are not directly comparable (weight wise) with US spec cars.

The seats alone create a significant weight difference.

Default There's no reason to think the RS4 will weigh substantially less than an S4...

Yes, it has some lighter panels...but it shares the same body structure, and that is where the weight is. All the lightweight panels do is offset the heavier brakes, suspension, etc. that the RS4 carries. By how much, we'll see when the same source weighs both cars.
