i wouldn't want the 6-speed on a car that big either. BMW needs a double-clutch...
automagic, which they will likely have ready in a couple years. fast shifts for performance, smooth for daily driving.

the only RS6 tranny woes i've seen...
...have been those cars that have been modded/chipped, and especially if the accompanying tranny chip wasn't done as well. i'm sure there are cases, as with all cars, but not too many.

you are comparing an RS4 to a P-Car?
no offense intended, but saying that the pricing on an RS4 lends you to think P-Car instead, I have to question why you are looking at the RS4 anyway? why would any auto enthusiast with $70k and no need for 4 doors/trunk NOT get a 911? :-) No seriously, I am excited about the upcoming RS4, and on the list for one, but only because I need something more practical than my current 911 S.
