I ordered my car back in June, and its still not in production. . . what gives?

audi sucks they need to be more upfront about things (especially when u go out of the way to order a car in advance).....your dealer doesn't probably have allocations.....do you have a commision number?

Even if you have a commission #, that does *not* mean that your dealer has an allocation for your car. The commission # only means your order is in the order bank. Until your dealer gets an allocation that matches your order, you're nowhere. After I'd had my commission # for a couple of months, I spoke to Audi Distribution and was told "Heck, there's no guarantee that car will EVER be built."

I've been told that if you have an order in the bank, and have a commission #, as soon as the allocation comes through you'll get an estimated build date very quickly. So no build date probably means still no allocation.

And no allocation means - who knows?

I ordered an Avant months ago. 3 weeks ago I was told "still no allocation." If the dealer were to geto one in late September, the earliest I'd see a car would be November.

I finally gave up, and found a car at a dealer. It wasn't exactly what I'd ordered, but I'd lost faith that I'd ever get the car I ordered. A bird in the hand, and all that...

I had ordered a Nogaro sport pkg no Bose, and am now driving a silver no sport package with Bose. I refuse to settle this time!
