It's pretty much the answer to all of his posts.

ohh come on... search for the holy grail?
and in Canada beavers like to eat springs but have a dislike for coilovers.
But seriously, the stock shocks are not made/designed to opperate at lower ride heights casued by lowering springs. The rebound and dampening will be messed up. Coilovers are specifically designed to operate with a range of ride hegths, and the shocks are matched to the springs. Putting lowering springs that are not matched with the shocks could cause adverse handling. Bouncy ride, odd body roll etc.
my $0.02

Because your stock shocks can't handle the additional stiffness. So, you'll
go buy shocks and they won't match. And you'll have spent more that if you had bought coilovers in the first place. I made that mistake on my B5 S4. This one has coilovers. Mine are H&R. I'm very happy with them.
Good luck!
