Default I got a letter from Audi...
It asks if I knew that the V8 in the S4 is fuel efficient and powerfull FSI engine like the LeMans winner.

Nice job Audi... clueless.

So, Is your RS4 fuel efficient? The S4 surely is Not!!!
Actually, come to think of it, my Evo is a gas hog and it's only 4 cylinders.

The 2007 4.2 in the A8 has FSI now. Its the same motor (previously anyway), isn't it?

Default Yes. Also the new Q7 has the 4.2 FSI.
The new B8 A4/S4 is so close that Audi won't make any changes to current models. I'm pretty sure the upcoming S4 has the 4.2 FSI engine. It's mostly marketing strategy and also about saving money by not making any changes to current production lines.
