Default I had the serpentine belt whine TSB done last fall and still had a 10 sec whine afterwards

I figured I could put up with it for 10 secs. No big deal. As temps warmed up, the whine went away. Now that the temps are below 65 degrees, the whine has returned and it is worse than the original and it is not even that cold out. It is evident for at least the intial 5 mins of driving before itgoes away. I have 2 options. First, I can continue to live with it and have Audi fix it at 25K service. But I have 18K miles now and that won't be until spring where it might not be heard due to warmer temps. Or take it in soon and put up with being without the car for 3 days like the last time I had it done. They were supposed to have had the parts on hand for my TSB but gave me some BS about my car having had a different alternator and having to order different parts. I believe that they used the parts that were ordered for my car on someone else's S4, but I can't substantiate that. What would you do?

Default I kind of like the whine

Almost like a fighter jet or turbo spooling up in the morning. Rolling out on the tarmac

Default Shouldn't take more than a day. Doubt they did the TSB the first time. New dealer

3 days? I really don't think it took me longer than half a day to have it done.

Default True. But for something this well known, the doc should printout the TSB and walk in with it.

Very nicely show the advisor the tsb, talk it over with a tech, etc.

Default See, that's the problem I have... when I walk in with a TSB, I get the...

"Where did you get that? Well it hasn't been provided to us. What exactly do you have to say to the tech?"
