this board as much as I should. I have come to 2 choices and looking for recommendations from any one who has knowledge.

I am going to either purchase the AWE exhaust or the APR. Complete with down pipes. I'm leaning towards APR. And do I have to worry about the sending unit wire burning over the pipe (For the gas tank)?

BTW I would choose resonators. Probably.

Default Those 2 exhausts are on my 'short list'

If I had to choose today, I'd probably get APR.

As for the question of the wire getting burned, I don't think you will have anything to worry about if the exhaust is installed properly.

Default Those 2 setups are probably the extremes of loud and quiet.

AWE full exhaust is muscle car loud and I've heard APR is one of the quieter exhausts.

Isn't the AWE 'Touring' (resonated) exhaust pretty quiet though?

Hopefully. I haven't heard it. But I think I want to add the resonators into my AWE exhaust.

Default APR downpipes are "cheap" @ $1k, compared to ~$2k for AWE

From what I've read, AWE is slightly better than APR.

But if you're getting the APR downpipes to save money, you might be better off pairing it with the APR catback as well.

Default Having driven both and owning the full res version...

The full res is perfect IMO. As 2putt has stated, I have lost count on the number of compliments.

The system is also mod'able down to a non-res version if you so choose.

Default Yes, APR and AWE don't mate up well. And AWE catback exhausts are known for not lining up well

on their own. ICS performance tuning took 12 hours to do my install to get things just right and weld the adapter between the pipes. They were "nice" and only charged me for 10 hours, since they quoted me 8 hours.
