Default I really love Moro Blue...

For those of you that remember my thread last week about how hard the paint is to clean, and how crappy my paint had become due to the dealer "detailing" it, I really still love this color. The color is so deep it can almost be passed off as black. I don't know how else to describe it other than saying it's very rich.

Anyways I haven't driven the car all week, so every day or so I would add a layer of wax to it to try and get it to shine better. As of today I've added 6 layers of wax on it and this is the result. I've decided once I run out of Zaino I'm not buying it again due to how time consuming it is to use. Anyone want to recommend a good easy to use wax? I've become incredibly lazy ever since I started working...

Default Want to use an amazing wax that shines like diamonds and is tough as nails???

I bought Meguiar's NXTgeneration tech wax when i bought my car in late oct. I put a coat on while the weather was good to get it ready for the long, cold N.Y. winter. Now when i wash my car 3mo.later it shines like new. And that is after going thru auto car washes (my only choice due to weather). Water still beads into a million drops almost like day one. It is synthetic and very tough. Detailers like carnauba because of the depth of shine. The trade off is it's not very durable. Synthetic wax is very durable but doesn't have as much depth of shine. This wax is the best of both worlds. And the best part, it goes on and off like nothing. It's a liquid wax but has all the benefits of a paste. Definitely recommend it. I give it 5 microfibre towels out of 5. I'm getting my car professionally detailed on Thurs. just because it's too cold to wax and I dont have a garage in my condo. But there is nothing like waxing your baby yourself and come spring, I'm breaking out the clay bar and putting a coat of the Tech wax on every month.

Default P.S. The depth of shine is amazing. The car literally looked wet the first 2 weeks after I used it..

The moro blue will look deep as the deep blue sea!

Default Wes and Justin turned me on to this stuff...

line of Finish First products. I used the polish, which is a polymer, on my Northern Blue finish (custom color) and the result was just awesome. Extremely easy to apply and remove - does attract some dust, but the finish is wet and deep. It can be bought at www.seeitshine.com. I've previously used Zymol, P21S etc. and have liked those products, and have always been a "purist" (carnuba and such) but how can anyone turn down a suggestion from Wes?? ;P. The stuff is terrific, inexpensive, and according to those who've used it, lasts for months. It took me <2hours to put 2 coats on my car. I will post pics - but waiting for the damn sun to come back out in Philly!

Maybe it will come next Sunday, if you get my drift.

Phil

'05 S4 Northern Blue/Silver, 6MT, Prem, Bose, Sirius, rear bags, basically stock for now.

Default I have been extolling the virtues of Liquid Glass for some time.

Easy to use, GREAT protection, great shine, very durable. Check out their website. I've been using this product for 20 years and have found nothing better!

Liquid Glass

Used it once, didn't like - found hard to remove. Finish First is just SO easy.
