I still don't get why M3's hold their value SO much better than the S4?

i didnt do options,i kept it plain jane for both. Options will throw off the price.This is also...

subjective to your area. I'm in DC, a lot of metrosexuals out here so the demand for M3s must be high : )

He sent me links to his searches/comparisons on cars.com and autotrader...both showed $5-10K diff

Many times an '03 M3 was priced higher than an '05 S4 with similar mileage ranges

torque difference is substantial though...some test have shown S4 to be quicker

...like top gear and I believe Motor Trend.

It HAS to be demand since the supply side of things has a 5:1 ration of M3s imported vs. S4's

Maybe, but every mag compares them and most people seem to cross shop the two...so on paper maybe...

but not in real world shopping situations.

I've never had a stock M3 pull on me...even from a stop I get the jum and were even until about 80-

90 then I pull fairly hard.

M-Line cars have been popularized for far more years than Audis S-models...

Also the M3 an 3 series are the "benchmark" to Biased car Reviewers..I think they are different cars altogether. Not to mention BMW has always been a Status symbol. AUdi just recently

do a search for the top gear S4 vs. M3...the S4 wins around the track

slightly but it wins...fir pure fun I'd still take an M3 for every day driving the S4 is perfect
