I wonder if/when we will be able to test drive...
it's hard to tell so far if all the cars coming in are accounted for, as messages about unclaimed cars at certain dealers seem to be popping up...
Will those cars be test driveable? How does that work exactly? Has anyone tried to go and ask for a test drive, or planning even this weekend to try?
I guess we can always harass the people who actually took delivery and force them to take us out for test drives. Show up at their houses and stuff - "let's go!"

Only unsold cars can be test driven....
And they seem to be few and far between. Althought some messages about unsold cars have been poping up, I dont think you will see many of them. My dealer has already sold the initial 5 that are showing up and has 5 more deposits and several more people in line without deposits down yet. I think it is very unlikely to get a test drive for the next several months. I have a deposit down and I know its unlikely I will even get a test drive even with a car on the way.

My dealer told me....
They were going to have a Demo originally, now they tell me they will not. They are one of the largest East Coast Dealers so if anyone would have one it would porbably be them. however Im gonna call around and see if anyone has a demo car.

A salesperson told me that there was only going to be one 2004 S4 Avant for the entire Pacific NW...
...region. Did I believe that? No.
Maybe what he meant was that there had only been one allocated so far? I dunno. Suffice it to say, I recommend taking anything a dealer tells you with a heavy dose of skepticism...

Not on limited edition cars like the S and the RS cars!!
Audi has a policy about A series cars but no policy about S and RS cars a IIRC. I know because my delaer has one of five A8L's left and someone wanted to buy it but they told him he had to wait till the next truck came or they would order him one.
