If the twin turbo RS 6 gets 15/22 mpg, shouldn't the S4 get at least EPA 17/24 mpg?

I saw a scanned sticker from an RS 6 on the A6 forum and it shows EPA numbers of 15 and 22. Since the S4 has the same V8 motor minus two turbos in a lighter body, I would have to guess that the EPA mileage should at least be 17/24, not the 14/20 listed in the Motor Trend comparison test against the C32 AMG. Do you agree?
If that's the case, the S4 should squeak by without having a gas guzzler tax.

The gear ratio will makes difference to the mpg.
I think the new S4 is using some aggressive gear ratio to achieve better 0-60 time. So I don't think it will any near the 17/24mpg. If they really can do 17/24 it will avoid the G.G. Tax.

Turbocharged version of same size V8 will surely guzzle more gas
I didn't mean that the V8 is the same exact engine minus the turbos, but they are close enough. As far as the gear ratio goes, I think the gearing of the S4 should help it get better mileage at one end of the spectrum (city or highway), especially with the 6-speed manual.
In any cae, I'm not suggesting that the car will get 17/24 mpg in real life, but it should be able to get that to avoid the gas guzzler tax.
